Frequently Asked Questions

Have questions about our aesthetic treatments? We've answered the most common queries below. If you need further information, don't hesitate to contact us or book a free consultation.

Recovery time depends on the procedure, but most patients can resume normal daily activities within a few days to a few weeks following their surgeon’s advice.

Body contouring and fat reduction treatments are advanced cosmetic procedures designed to remove stubborn fat, sculpt body shape, and improve body proportions through surgical methods like liposuction or non-invasive slimming technologies.

Don't worry, that's exactly why we offer a free initial consultation. When you come in, one of our practitioners will sit down with you, take a look at your skin, and have a relaxed conversation about what's bothering you and what results you're hoping for. There's no pressure to book anything on the day — it's genuinely just about helping you understand your options. A lot of our clients feel much more confident after that first chat.

Body fat grafting is a procedure that uses a patient’s own fat to enhance facial or body areas. Nano fat is used for skin rejuvenation, micro fat for delicate facial volume restoration, and macro fat for larger volume enhancement in areas such as the cheeks, hips, or body contours.

Safety is honestly our biggest priority. Every treatment at Le Pearl is carried out by qualified, experienced aesthetic practitioners using only clinically approved products and devices. We follow strict medical protocols, and every new client goes through a full health and skin assessment before anything is done. We only use products we'd be happy to use on ourselves — and that's not just a line, it's genuinely how we approach every treatment.

It's a really common question! Botox (botulinum toxin) works by temporarily relaxing specific facial muscles that cause expression lines — things like frown lines between the brows, forehead lines, and crow's feet around the eyes. Dermal fillers, on the other hand, add volume and plumpness to areas that have lost fullness — like the cheeks, lips, nasolabial folds, or under the eyes. Both are injectable treatments, but they do very different things. Often people benefit from a combination of both, which is something we can discuss properly during your consultation.

For most people, Botox results last around 3 to 4 months — sometimes up to 6 months depending on the area treated, how much product was used, and how active your facial muscles are. Interestingly, people who have regular Botox treatments over time often find their results start to last longer, because the muscles gradually become less active. We usually recommend a top-up appointment every 3–6 months to keep everything looking fresh and natural.

Yes — and this is one of the things we always reassure clients about. The hyaluronic acid fillers we use at Le Pearl are completely reversible. If you're unhappy with the outcome, or if there's ever a complication, we can inject an enzyme called hyaluronidase that dissolves the filler quickly and safely. It's rare that anyone wants their filler removed, but knowing that option exists gives people real peace of mind when they're considering treatment for the first time.

Most of our treatments have little to no downtime — which is part of why aesthetic medicine has become so popular. Botox and filler treatments usually leave you looking perfectly presentable straight after; some people might have slight redness or tiny marks at the injection sites, but these settle within a few hours. Laser treatments and chemical peels can cause some redness or mild flaking for a day or two, and microneedling may leave your skin looking a bit flushed for 24–48 hours. We'll always give you a clear picture of what to expect before your treatment, so there are no surprises.

Honestly, the experience varies from person to person and depends on the area being treated. Most clients describe it as a quick snapping or warm stinging sensation — similar to a flick of a rubber band against the skin. Sensitive areas like the upper lip or bikini line can feel more intense. We use advanced laser systems with built-in cooling to keep things as comfortable as possible, and a topical numbing cream is available if you're particularly sensitive. Most people find it very manageable once they've had their first session.

Permanent laser hair removal typically requires multiple sessions because laser light can only target hair that's actively growing, and not all follicles are in the same growth phase at the same time. Most clients need between 6 and 8 sessions spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart to achieve significant, long-lasting reduction. Coarser, darker hair on areas like legs, underarms, and the bikini line tends to respond fastest. After completing a course of treatment, many clients need only the occasional top-up session once or twice a year to maintain results.

Pigmentation — whether it's sun damage, melasma, post-acne marks, or general uneven skin tone — is one of the most common concerns we treat. There's no single one-size-fits-all fix, because the type and depth of pigmentation matters a lot. Options we use include laser skin rejuvenation, chemical peels, microneedling with vitamin serums, and medical-grade skin brightening treatments. In many cases, a combination approach works best. We'll look at your skin properly during a consultation and recommend what's genuinely going to work for your specific type of discolouration.

Acne scarring can be tough to treat, but significant improvement is absolutely achievable with the right approach. Microneedling (also known as collagen induction therapy) is one of our most effective treatments for acne scars — it stimulates your skin's own collagen production to gradually fill and smooth out indented scarring. For more stubborn or deeper scars, we may combine this with PRP (platelet-rich plasma), chemical peels, or laser resurfacing. Results build over several sessions, and we'll set realistic expectations during your consultation so you know exactly what kind of improvement to expect.

Very valid — and it's something we take really seriously. The goal at Le Pearl is always natural-looking enhancement, not a dramatic transformation. A good aesthetic practitioner knows that less is usually more, especially with injectables like Botox and fillers. We take a conservative approach, always starting with smaller amounts and building up gradually if needed. We'd much rather you come back for a slight top-up than leave feeling like you've had too much done. If you're nervous, bring photos of results you like to your consultation — that always helps us understand the kind of look you're going for.

Aftercare depends on the specific treatment, and we'll always give you a detailed written aftercare guide to take home. As a general rule — keep the treated area clean, avoid direct sun exposure and apply high-factor SPF, don't use harsh active skincare products (like retinol or acids) for a few days, and avoid saunas, steam rooms, and strenuous exercise for 24–48 hours after most injectable or laser treatments. Following aftercare instructions properly makes a real difference to your results and recovery, so we don't just hand you a leaflet and send you on your way — we're always available if you have questions afterwards.

For most cosmetic treatments at Le Pearl, clients must be 18 years or older. Some treatments may require clients to be 21 or above depending on the procedure and clinical guidelines. We never compromise on this, even with parental consent, because certain treatments are not appropriate for younger skin that is still developing. If you're a young adult with specific concerns like acne scarring or hormonal pigmentation, we have age-appropriate treatments that are safe and effective — it's always worth having a consultation to explore what's suitable for you.

In many cases, yes — and combining treatments can actually deliver better overall results. For example, Botox and lip filler are often done together in the same appointment. However, not every combination is suitable on the same day; some treatments can interfere with each other or increase sensitivity when done back-to-back. Our practitioners will always advise you on the safest and most effective treatment sequence. We'll help you put together a treatment plan that fits your goals and your schedule.

Booking is easy. You can use our online appointment form on the Appointments page, call us directly, or send us a message through the contact page and we'll get back to you promptly. If it's your first visit, we'll book you in for a free consultation first so we can properly assess your skin and put together the right treatment plan before anything is done. We look forward to meeting you!
